Honey Creek Woodlands (HCW) at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit is Georgia’s first Conservation Burial Ground. The Monastery developed this Natural Burial Ground in the heart of the its 2100-acre forest. HCW is a 30-acre tract that is nestled into more than 500 acres of permanently protected wetlands and wooded streams.
HCW offers the opportunity to purchase natural burial spaces at the monastery. Traditional, natural burial without embalming, and using a plain wooden casket or shroud is also known in the media as "green burial". HCW is a quiet and beautiful resting place for people of all faiths, as well s those who have struggled to find faith.
