Join Monarchs Across Georgia for a day of renowned speakers, butterfly and nature walks, exhibitors and demonstrations. Speakers and their topics will include:
- Sonia M. Altizer, Professor, Odum School of Ecology, University of Georgia, Athens, GA - Monarch Butterflies
- Nancy Lee Adamson, Biologist, The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation and USDA NRCS East National Technology Support Center, Greensboro, NC- Native Bees
- Kim Bailey, Master Gardener, National Wildlife Habitat Stewart, Milkweed Meadows Farm, Hendersonville, NC - Hummingbirds
- Keren Giovengo, EcoScapes Program Manager, UGS Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, Brunswick, GA - Gardening for Pollinators

All registrants will participate in the four speaker presentations but the final session of the day (weather permitting), you will need to choose between a butterfly or nature walk OR demonstrations of Monarch Watch tagging and Project Monarch Health. Each of these sessions is limited to 15 participants. Butterfly walks will be led by Phil Delestrez, Northern Resource Manager for Georgia State Parks and Father Francis Michael Stiteler, Land Manager for the Monastery. The nature walk will be led by Robby Astrove, Park Ranger at Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve. TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
The Abbey Garden Store will also have native milkweeds and pollinator plants for sale.
Registration fee: $75.00
Includes a one year membership to EEA and a box lunch with drink.
Meat, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.
