Monastery Trail Races
Saturday June 10, 2017 – 8:30AM

(8 mile) (5K-Run) & (1.5 mile) Trail Races   Register online here.
To celebrate the 8th year of the race event we've added an 8-mile endurance race!
Yes, spring is upon us and it is that time again.
We are excited about this year’s Monastery trail races. This is our 8th year! This event is unlike any other race you'll go to.. ever! New this year to celebrate our 8th year of the race we've added the 8 mile race! Runners and walkers will have a unique opportunity to trek through the Monastery woodlands to enjoy the serene and peaceful landscape. This is a trail run - on open-air courses over natural dirt or grass terrain.

Put this race on your calendar now to keep you motivated and running through the spring.
The newly added 8-mile race is not for beginners.

You can use these same programs to train for an 8-mile race.

The Routes:
The race starts in front of the Monastery Visitor Center and then goes on the trails that weave among the monastery’s scenic woodlands and lakesides. You'll run past lakes filled with ducks and open fields with amazing views. You'll run up repentance hill (a 1/4 mile challenging hill in the middle of the course). Then you'll run through more amazing trails and end up at the Visitor Center. At the end of the 5K race the 8-miler continues on a new route for the remaining 4.9 miles to complete the 8-miler.
