Saint Nicholas, (alias Santa Claus), paid a visit to the Holy Spirit Monastery Food Bank in the final days before Christmas. Noting the good work done by the Food Bank volunteers, Santa remarked that their good work helped folks all year round, but brought a special warmth and cheer during the Christmas Season. "There is no gift greater than a gift from the heart," Santa said, "and the Food Bank volunteers no doubt nourish our brothers and sisters in need not only with food, but also with heartfelt concern and love. What a wonderful way to show the spirit of Christmas!" Because of his busy schedule, Santa could only stay a short time at the Monastery Food Bank. But the spirit of heartfelt giving he and the Food Bank volunteers share will continue throughout the New Year!
