Welcoming the Christmas Season

Christmas at the Monastery with The Atlanta Boy Choir

Monastery of the Holy Spirit is pleased to present the Annual Christmas concert welcoming the joyous holiday season.  Music Director Dr. Robert Henry has put together a unique and joyous program.

In our 41st year of presenting these special Christmas concerts, we again welcome this Christmas Season with another great performance. The Music Director, Robert Henry, D.M.A., presents the welcome collaboration of some of the Atlanta Boy Choir and its Men's Alumni Chorus, the men's choir adding a powerful sound to the program. The program includes a small chamber group (SATB), featured Artists-in-Residence singers, and a special piano recital by Director Dr. Robert Henry, a renowned concert pianist.

We will hear Classical compositions, traditional carols, spirituals, and Latin hymns. Accompanied by harp, flute, oboe, violin, cello, piano, and harpsichord, the concert invites the audience to listen to crisp notes and beautiful voices.

This unique and hallowed space at the monastery, with its grand acoustics of Norman Gothic architecture, has been a special place for the thousands of alums - boys who have gone through the choir's ranks over the years.

We look forward to you joining us for this wonderful Christmas tradition.
